ECLECTIC STYLE
This client’s home is full of eclectic pieces of art, sculpture, ceramics and furniture from many years of collecting. We collaborated with their interior designer to transform the old, dated kitchen to a design statement that blends into their home as well as creating better storage and accessibility. This was an enticing challenge for this small space.
A large collection of china, decorative bowls and vases called for more display space. Tall pantries with spice racks on the doors give them easy access and lots of storage. Tall, curved display shelves at the end transition the kitchen into the dining area. Their love of coffee and small appliances called for a large appliance garage with lights and outlets inside that automatically turn off when the tall stainless tambour door is closed.
Dramatic polished black granite island top waterfalls to the floor at both ends. White/grey veined quartz counters continue up the backsplash at the cook area for durability and easy to clean. Decorative tile backsplash between the pantries as well as across the exposed ceiling I-beam connects the design elements.
